Level I: Intro to Family Medicine Month
During your Introduction to Family Medicine month you will have two independent study assignments. The first will help you learn how to interpret a plain chest x-ray in a standard way. You will use the link below to go through the online module. It should take approximately 1-2 hours depending on whether you want to take notes. After you complete the module you will schedule an oral exam with the radiology contact person (usually Dr. Mount). There is a link for a practice test below. The second assignment is a self-study powerpoint going through case scenarios to aid in selecting the appropriate imaging test for different patient diagnoses. You should take the pre-test (link below) before reviewing the cases then take the post-test (link below) after you review the cases to see if you improve. There is also a link to the American College of Radiology website where you find tables for the appropriate test to order for more diagnoses. Both components are required to be completed before the end of your Intro month. Enjoy!
