The Experience:

Work with physicians from Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health (GCB) to provide MAT for a variety of substance use disorders at their Batavia location in Clermont County. They offer a full variety of outpatient treatment services including prescriptions for suboxone, vivitrol, antabuse and others. They are a community alternative sentencing center for court referrals and are working on bringing their services to Shelterhouse targeting clients with dual diagnoses and housing instability.

When:

This is only offered as a 6 or 12 month longitudinal elective.

They can take residents during mornings or afternoons Mon-Wed and Thurs afternoons. Fridays are not currently available due low demand for appointments during that time (but Dr. Rich is willing to reach out and see if it is possible on request).

Who:

The physicians you work with may vary from week to week though over time you will get to know many of them.

Dr. Katie Schmidt is the Medical Director of GCB

Faculty Lead: Dr. Rich — please direct any questions about the rotation to her.
