Global Health Scholarship

Scholarship is a priority in our residency, and our global health division provides many opportunities from poster presentations to journal submissions. 

Our global health trips and electives are common springboards for scholarly activity.  Recent examples include mental health interventions in Guatemala, early childhood anticipatory guidance in Guatemala, studies on stool parasites and diabetes in Honduras, needs assessment in Jamaica, and demography and patient satisfaction survey in Guatemala. The Year-at-Glance Calendar (link on the Global Health Welcome page) includes a listing of some of our favorite conferences (Also, see below for a listing and links).  Faculty and residents often present at the AAFP Global Workshop, the CUGH Conference, and the STFM Conference.
