Welcome to the Procedures Page!

Procedures clearly are an important aspect of family medicine. This page is dedicated to the procedure curriculum, which spans the entire residency. Please be sure to review the Procedure Curriculum, looking closely at the required procedures for the program.  In addition to the list of required procedures, the Procedure Curriculum describes the requirements to achieve an Independent Level for the procedure. Prior to achieving an independent level for a procedure, the resident is required to have all procedure directly supervised. Residents may perform and supervise other residents and medical students on procedures meeting the requirements for Independent Level. Please review the Logger in New Innovations for the list of procedures rated an independent level. For further details on levels of supervision, please review the Resident Supervision and Progressive Responsibilities Policy

Procedures should be logged into New Innovations within 2 weeks of completing the procedure and must be logged into New Innovations by 4 weeks. Any procedures logged after 4 weeks will not be confirmed by the faculty.

In addition to the Procedure Curriculum, you will also find multiple resources on this page, including handouts and videos.  If you find any other resources please do not hesitate to send them our way!
